Scribble’s unusual distinction is that it pairs a nonprofit counseling center with a community event space, so a show shares a home with sliding-scale mental health services. The Highland Park venue hosts concerts alongside workshops, comedy, film screenings, and other gatherings. For a music night, expect a room with two-tiered wooden corner benches and open standing space; arrive early if you want a seat. Scribble is all-ages and sober, with snacks and nonalcoholic drinks for sale rather than alcohol. The setup encourages listening close to the performers, without bar noise. Shows are listed through DICE, where advance tickets are available; check the individual event for details. Scribble is at 5541 York Boulevard in Highland Park, and its current DICE listings confirm it is operating.
