A protégé of pianist Kenny Barron, Regen started as a sideman with jazz artists including Kyle Eastwood and Little Jimmy Scott, then moved from acclaimed instrumental jazz recordings into singer-songwriter work. He has recorded with Andy Summers, Benmont Tench, Chuck Leavell and Nick Rhodes. His 2023 album Satisfied Mind, featuring Ron Carter, Rob Thomas and Pino Palladino, was named Jazz FM’s Album of the Week after Jamie Cullum premiered its title track on BBC Radio 2. The Telegraph heard “a young Billy Joel singing Bill Withers songs with a tumble of perfectly chilled piano notes,” while the Associated Press called his songs, tenor and grand piano “a captivating combination.”
Roxy Bar offers a stylish setting where live jazz fills the air, accompanied by a menu that caters to diverse tastes including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The room features plush seating and a well-stocked bar, creating a comfortable environment to enjoy performances by resident musicians or special guests. Shows typically run in the evening with sets from 6pm to 10pm, followed by DJs spinning vinyl late into the night.
