Night of Nicks - The Stories - The Music - Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac
City Winery NYCHudson River Park Esplanade, New York 10014
Night of Nicks brings its theatrical Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac tribute to the Loft at City Winery NYC for the later performance in a multi-show run. Maryanne Piccolo takes the role of Nicks, using the songs to trace the origins and backstories behind major hits from both Nicks’s solo catalogue and her Fleetwood Mac work. Multi-instrumentalist and producer Mike Greko joins her, taking on the parts of figures including Lindsey Buckingham, Tom Petty, Don Henley and Prince. The format is explicitly story-led: a musical journey through the material rather than a straightforward greatest-hits set.
Night of Nicks is a New York City based production built around Piccolo’s portrayal of Nicks, a role she has performed professionally for more than fourteen years. The show describes itself as a Stevie-centric tribute, with Piccolo presenting Nicks’s signature vocals and style while Greko supplies the musical counterpart and a range of collaborator roles. Piccolo and Night of Nicks are annual headliners at Night of 1000 Stevies, the long-running Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac tribute event produced by Chi Chi Valenti and Johnny Dynell. The production has also appeared aboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. No independent reviewer assessment is available in the provided material.
