Cabaret Rom: The Kyle and Richie Experience: Celebrating Lost Icons of 2026, 7:00pm
Pangea178 2nd Avenue, New York 10003
Cabaret Rom brings singers Richie Torres and Kyle Supley together as The Kyle and Richie Experience for a night devoted to performers lost in 2026. Their songbook celebrates figures including Neil Sedaka, Tim Curry, and Dolly Parton, with further honorees promised. After the cabaret set, the evening continues in the bar with a disco after-party, where Supley DJs hits from the vinyl era.
Torres came to performance after leaving the corporate world in 1992, studying voice and ballet privately for two years before performing in and hosting open mics around New York City. He made his cabaret debut at Pieces in Diva Man, has performed steadily at 55 Bar, and has produced and appeared in Flamboyant Friends, fundraising variety shows for Sylvia Rivera’s Food Pantry at Metropolitan Community Church. Supley is a collector, host, singer, licensed NYC tour guide, and design curator and consultant specializing in mid-century décor. He created and hosts the web series Kyle Supley’s Out There! on Ovation’s Journy network, hosts the monthly vintage-vinyl party After Dark: a DiscoVery! at Julius’ Bar, and has a 1939 New York World’s Fair collection on permanent display at the City Reliquary Museum.
Pangea offers a distinctive evening where live music and dining merge in a cabaret setting that feels like stepping into a classic New York supper club. The room features communal seating arranged on a first-come, first-served basis, encouraging a shared experience among guests. The venue emphasizes the performers, with ticket prices supporting artists and production, while a $20 food and beverage minimum ensures a full dinner and drink service throughout the night. Shows typically start early evening, with the house opening at 6:00pm to allow ample time for ordering. Expect a night focused on attentive listening, where the music, from jazz to storytelling performances, takes center stage in a space designed for connection and immersion rather than casual chatter.
