Julie Biancheri: Dream Roles
Don't Tell Mama343 West 46th Street, New York 10036
Julie Biancheri makes her New York solo cabaret debut with Dream Roles, a one-night program built around the parts she has wanted to inhabit. The evening is presented as a series of passionate performances, with Biancheri following the central idea behind her ongoing show, A Dream (Role) Come True: giving performers a chance to take on the roles they have imagined for themselves. No additional performers are listed for this solo presentation.
Biancheri came to New York from South Florida four years ago and has since produced more than 50 cabaret shows in the city. She created and produces A Dream (Role) Come True, a recurring cabaret series that has given more than 500 performers the opportunity to realize their own dream roles for a night. Her work was nominated in the 2025 BroadwayWorld Awards, including recognition for Best Revue or Recurring Series, Best Vocalist, and Host. This debut brings that producer’s perspective to the performer’s side of the room: a personal cabaret set shaped by the songs and characters she has been waiting to explore.
Don't Tell Mama offers a distinctive cabaret experience with four separate spaces including a piano bar and two cabaret showrooms, where bartenders and servers often perform live music themselves. The venue features Mediterranean cuisine alongside a full bar, with a cash-only policy for food and drinks. Seating is limited and first come, first served, so arriving early is wise to secure a spot. Shows typically start in the evening with a 2-drink minimum and ticketed entry, often featuring multiple sets and a mix of seasoned headliners and rising talent. The room’s walls and layout create a close connection between performers and audience, making it a place to truly listen and engage with the music. Located on Restaurant Row in the Theater District, it blends dining and entertainment in a lively yet focused setting.
