LoveTrane
Silvana300 West 116th Street, New York 10026
Harlem pianist Eric Plaks leads LoveTrane's ongoing John Coltrane tribute, joined by Ayumi Ishito on tenor sax, Zach Swanson on bass and Jon Panikkar on drums. This set advances the group's alphabetical journey through Coltrane originals and closely associated material with “So What,” “Softly As in a Morning Sunrise,” “Some Other Blues” and “Song of Praise.”
LoveTrane has spent years working through Coltrane's repertoire in alphabetical order, occasionally expanding into a larger ensemble as the material calls for it.
