Lizzy Hilliard presents an evening of musical selections from The Pocket Girls and Forever, two new original musicals. Hilliard is an NYC-based composer, theater-maker, and singer-songwriter originally from Abington, Pennsylvania. Her songs are described as carrying “tenderness and evocative imagery,” moving between candid observation and wistful reflection. She writes from classical and choral music to musical theater: recent projects include the folk musical The Pocket Girls and The Bathtime Waltz, commissioned by the University of Washington Treble Choir. In 2025, she made her Off Broadway debut as orchestrator of Beyond Perfection. A prolific independent songwriter, she has released more than 80 songs, including the three-volume anthology growth and the EP Road Trip, whose songs follow pivotal experiences across six states. She writes, records, produces, mixes, and masters her own work, bringing the whimsy and gentleness associated with children’s media to adult material without leaving behind complexity or nuance.
