Camp Bloom Tour: Alt Bloom & Doublecamp
Alt Bloom, DOUBLECAMP
The Sultan Room234 Starr Street, New York 11237
Alt Bloom and DOUBLECAMP bring the Camp Bloom tour to Brooklyn for a co-billed night described as high emotion, light energy and heartfelt performance.
Alt Bloom is a Montana alternative-soul solo artist whose music blends soul, rock and R&B. A review called it an “endlessly unpredictable fusion of alt-R&B and classic singer/songwriter pop,” “warmly textured and wonderfully unhurried.” Nashville indie-pop duo DOUBLECAMP, Joe Neary and Jordan Burmeister, write, produce and record most of their music, shaping feelings from anxiety to hope into alternative indie anthems with hip-hop and pop influences.
Conceived as the nightclub counterpart to a resurrected 1930s Wisconsin supper club, this 201-capacity venue pairs elaborate retro-futuristic decor with a high-end d&b audiotechnik sound system, functioning seamlessly as both a live performance stage and a late-night dance spot. The room centers around a sunken floor where crowds gather right against the low stage, flanked by small peripheral booths for seated listeners during quieter sets. Shows are ticketed in advance, with programming shifting between live touring bands, global ensembles, and late-night DJ sets that keep the floor active past 2:00 AM. Between sets, patrons can order drinks from the full bar, step up to the rooftop terrace, or grab a late-night bite from the attached Döner Kebab counter and neighboring dining room.
