Watson is a Brooklyn guitarist, producer and composer whose collaborators include Marcus Gilmore, Joel Ross, Immanuel Wilkins and David Virelles. Rogers, a pianist, composer and multimedia artist from Maine now based in Brooklyn, has performed with Ralph Alessi, Ingrid Laubrock and Sara Serpa; The Free Jazz Collective called her a “Fresh, new voice on piano.”
Close Up offers a focused jazz experience in a sleek, minimalist space on Manhattan's Lower East Side, where the sound system and acoustics bring every note into sharp relief. The venue features a small back room that invites close connection with the performers, creating a setting where music is the main event and distractions are minimal.
