BETTY HOLIDAY SHOW

City Winery NYCHudson River Park Esplanade, New York 10014

BETTY brings its Betty Holiday Show to City Winery NYC on December 6. The New York trio will mark the holidays and celebrate Amy Ziff’s birthday, with the night billed as a special seasonal show rather than a standard club date. Expect the group’s original-song approach, built around close vocal harmonies and a mix of cello, guitar, bass and electropop beats.

BETTY is the New York City indie-rock trio of sisters Amy and Elizabeth Ziff and longtime collaborator Alyson Palmer. Active for nearly 40 years, they are widely known for writing and performing the theme song for Showtime’s The L Word, with further TV placements including Ugly Betty. Time Out calls BETTY an “idiosyncratic musical trio” where “Go-Go’s rock meets womyn’s music meets close harmony meets musical theater.” Queer Forty describes the band as a “trailblazing award-winning Indie Rock trio,” praising its “tight” harmonies and characterizing its live shows as “passionate, theatrical, and inspirational.” Their collaborators have included producer Jason Carmer and DJ Human Fader, who contributed beats to “Pride.”

City Winery at Pier 57 is a restaurant winery with live music on an intimate stage, offering a full evening experience that combines dinner, wine, and live music. The venue features two performance spaces: a seated 350-seat concert hall and a smaller 150-capacity loft space, with a 100-seat restaurant including a pizza bar and coffee roasting station. Guests enjoy views of the Hudson River and Pier 57, located in Chelsea on Manhattan’s west side, near Chelsea Market. The intimate setting allows audiences to experience performances up close in a seated environment, with a diverse lineup including national touring artists, singer-songwriters, jazz musicians, and comedy shows.
