Who’s Live Today?

Other Lives

Sony Hall235 West 46th Street, New York 10036

Other Lives heads to Sony Hall with Kelcey Ayer on the bill. The Oklahoma-founded five-piece brings its layered, orchestral approach to an evening shared with Ayer, the Los Angeles-based Colombian-American artist recently embarking on solo work under his own name. Ayer’s 2025 EPs No Sleep and Hand Me Downs draw on early fatherhood, from sleeplessness and small daily details to the stories he wants to pass on to his son.

Other Lives was formed in Stillwater, Oklahoma, by multi-instrumentalists Jesse Tabish, Jonathon Mooney, and Josh Onstott. Now completed by vocalist and songwriter Kim Tabish and producer-percussionist Danny Reisch, the band has made five albums while expanding on a sound shaped by classical influence, chamber music, post-rock and modern folk. They are known for cinematic arrangements, sweeping melodies and richly layered recordings, with experimentation and storytelling at the core. Ayer spent 20 years as a co-founder, singer and songwriter in Local Natives, while also making music in his side project Jaws of Love. His newer releases were self-engineered and self-produced in his east Los Angeles home studio, and he is finishing a debut solo record.

Sony Hall offers a dynamic live music experience enhanced by cutting-edge technology from Sony, creating a sound and visual environment that elevates every performance.
