Gene w/ special guest Weston Loney
Sony Hall235 West 46th Street, New York 10036
Gene bring their reunion to Sony Hall, with Weston Loney billed as special guest. The London band return to the songs that made their name in the Britpop era, including material from their 1995 UK Top 10 debut Olympian and later records.
Formed in 1993, Gene reunited after more than two decades away from performing. Olympian included “Sleep Well Tonight,” “Haunted By You” and the title track; NME later called the album “a strong and commanding soul,” while Mojo described Gene as “the urbane, eloquent outsiders… oozed class.”
