Who’s Live Today?

Conrad Korsch Trio

The Django2 6th Avenue, New York 10013

Conrad Korsch brings his trio to The Django for a set led from the upright bass, with Korsch also singing. He is joined by Marius Van Den Brink on piano and Ross Pederson on drums. The group’s repertoire is built around Korsch’s own arrangements, drawing songs from multiple genres and generations rather than a single stylistic lane.

A New York musician with a career in the city spanning more than 30 years, Korsch has worked in Broadway show house bands and has served as musical director or bandleader for Cyndi Lauper and Debbie Gibson. He has also toured with Rod Stewart for more than 15 years. Beyond his work as a bassist, vocalist and bandleader, Korsch wrote the score for Black Beauty, which Gramilano critic Graham Watts called “a revelation,” praising its “robust, rhythmic flair” and “tuneful lyrical passages.”

The Django offers a subterranean jazz experience inspired by Parisian boîtes, with vaulted ceilings and exposed brick walls that frame a stage equipped with a state-of-the-art Meyer Sound system. The venue combines two cocktail bars and an open dining area where you can enjoy an elevated menu alongside live performances every night. The evening unfolds with a focus on attentive listening, enhanced by award-winning cocktails crafted by Natasha David and a selection of small plates and dinner options. Shows require a cover charge and reservations are recommended to secure your spot. The setting invites you to settle in for a night of rich jazz sounds, fine food, and carefully mixed drinks, all within the cellar level of the Roxy Hotel, creating a distinct mood that feels both exclusive and welcoming.
