Huntertones with special guest Rachael Price

The Pocket130 West 46th Street, New York 10036

Huntertones comes to The Pocket with special guest Rachael Price on vocals, joined by Dan White on sax, Jon Lampley on trumpet and sousaphone, Chris Ott on trombone, Joshua Hill on guitar, Adam DeAscentis on bass, John Hubbell on drums and Nêgah Santos on percussion. The full band brings its horn-led blend of jazz, funk, pop, soul, hip-hop and R&B to the room, with Price, of Lake Street Dive, as the featured singer. The date follows the August 2026 release of Transmission, which also features Price.

Formed in Columbus, Ohio, and now based in Brooklyn, Huntertones is a six-piece band known for high-energy, horn-driven writing, improvisation and adventurous compositions. Its members have appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and performed with Lawrence, Lake Street Dive, Louis Cato, Kurt Elling, Charlie Hunter and Cory Wong. Their work also makes room for unconventional covers and shifts in format, including a trio configuration of saxophone, sousaphone and beat-boxing. PopMatters called them “a band propelled forward by a horn-driven focus on explosive, imaginative, and genre-defying compositions,” while Glide Magazine praised Transmission for its “irresistible groove.”

The Pocket offers a close-up encounter with world-class jazz musicians in a small, focused setting where every note feels immediate and unfiltered. The room is designed to bring listeners near the performers, creating a direct connection that makes the music feel personal and vivid. Seating is limited and arranged to emphasize attentive listening rather than casual socializing, with a bar available to complement the experience. Shows are ticketed, encouraging an audience that is there to fully engage with the performance. The venue’s location in Manhattan places it within easy reach of the city’s vibrant cultural pulse, making it a perfect spot for an evening dedicated to serious jazz appreciation without distractions.
