Jason Green Trio
The Ear Inn326 Spring Street, New York 10013
Guitarist Jason Green leads a trio set. Green’s own group, Jason Green and the Labor of Love, is described as guitar-driven instrumental roots music drawing on blues, jazz and Latin music.
A Cleveland native who relocated to New York in 2004, Green is a longtime presence on the city’s music scene. He has toured and recorded with the Jimmy Ley Blues Band and toured with Big Jack Johnson and the Oilers, and has worked with Cornell Dupree, Luther Kent and Joey McIntyre. Reviewing Green with Christine Santelli, David McGee wrote that he “pretty much blew everyone away with a florid but self-effacing display of chops, spitting out howling blues choruses.”
