IN THE SPIRIT, 2026! with Marieann Meringolo
Chelsea Table + Stage152 W 26th St, New York 10001
Marieann Meringolo brings In the Spirit, 2026! to Chelsea Table + Stage for the 20th anniversary of her annual holiday show. Backed by a trio, the award-winning vocalist revisits seasonal standards with fresh perspective, alongside contemporary songs and originals. The program is built as a celebration of the series’ two decades, looking back on its history while making room for the present season through music, laughter, reflection, and celebration.
A native New Yorker, Meringolo is an award-winning vocalist known in cabaret for American Songbook material and tribute shows devoted to artists including Johnny Mathis and Dionne Warwick. Her holiday programs combine classic seasonal repertoire with original material, and her singing has been praised for warmth, compassion, and attention to meaningful lyrics. One reviewer wrote that she “doesn’t so much put her heart in these songs as inhabit the beating pulse of optimism.” Her 2025 In the Spirit trio included musical director and pianist Doyle Newmyer, bassist Boots Maleson, and drummer Brian Woodruff, though the musicians for this 2026 performance have not been confirmed.
Chelsea Table + Stage offers a unique blend of live performance and dining in a stylish space that seats around 120 guests, ensuring a close-up experience with the artists. The venue combines elements of a cabaret and supper club, where you can enjoy a curated lineup of music, comedy, and theater while seated at tables that encourage attentive listening. The room’s design brings the stage near every seat, making the sound and sightlines excellent even from the back. A full bar and elevated dining options complement the performances, creating an evening that feels both engaging and refined. Shows are ticketed, so securing your spot ahead is recommended. The venue’s focus on artist-driven events and a warm, inviting setting makes it a place where culture and community intersect for memorable nights.
