Bill Dobrow LIVE at Roxy Bar

Roxy Bar2 Avenue of the Americas, New York 10013

Bill Dobrow brings his live project to Roxy Bar, leading an evolving ensemble rather than a fixed band. The music is rooted in jazz improvisation and built to meet singers working across styles, with a pool of local and international musicians shaping the set. Expect a performance defined by the personnel and musical conversations that develop on the night.

New York City-based drummer, percussionist and music producer Dobrow’s hometown is West Hartford, Connecticut. He has toured and recorded with The Black Crowes, Sean Lennon, Yoko Ono, Norah Jones, Martha Wainwright, Lisa Loeb, Jesse Harris, and Joseph Arthur & The New Professionals. His recent guest appearances include work with Henry Butler, Valerie June, Miho Hatori, Anthony Wilson, Vinicius Cantuaria, Sasha Dobson, Kaliné, and Alexia Bomtempo. Roxy Bar has called him a “famed percussionist and music producer” and an “acclaimed drummer and bandleader.”

Roxy Bar offers a stylish setting where live jazz fills the air, accompanied by a menu that caters to diverse tastes including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The room features plush seating and a well-stocked bar, creating a comfortable environment to enjoy performances by resident musicians or special guests. Shows typically run in the evening with sets from 6pm to 10pm, followed by DJs spinning vinyl late into the night. Weekend brunches also feature live music, blending dining and entertainment seamlessly. The venue balances attentive service with a relaxed vibe, making it a place to savor both cocktails and music without distraction. Its location in Tribeca adds a downtown charm, inviting guests to linger over oysters or a crafted cocktail while soaking in the sounds.
