Formed in 2017, Brazilian brothers Matheus and Thiago Khouri make up Banda AL9. They began by posting cover videos, then started releasing original music in 2018; their EP Isso É AL9 and later singles gained traction, including viral attention on TikTok. Their label describes the music as “classic power-pop melodies, chiming guitars, and modern indie energy,” while reviewers point to Beatles-influenced retro pop-rock, jangly guitars, harmonies and catchy hooks. Faster and Louder hears a “timeless musical style with youthful excitement,” praising the duo’s “melody, harmonies, and catchy choruses.” The band has received support from Little Steven Van Zandt and Wicked Cool Records, and Justin Hawkins of The Darkness has endorsed them. Steve Aoki covered “Chama de Amor” and invited them to perform at Tomorrowland Brasil; Banda AL9 have also collaborated with Nasri of MAGIC!.

Conceived as the nightclub counterpart to a resurrected 1930s Wisconsin supper club, this 201-capacity venue pairs elaborate retro-futuristic decor with a high-end d&b audiotechnik sound system, functioning seamlessly as both a live performance stage and a late-night dance spot. The room centers around a sunken floor where crowds gather right against the low stage, flanked by small peripheral booths for seated listeners during quieter sets. Shows are ticketed in advance, with programming shifting between live touring bands, global ensembles, and late-night DJ sets that keep the floor active past 2:00 AM. Between sets, patrons can order drinks from the full bar, step up to the rooftop terrace, or grab a late-night bite from the attached Döner Kebab counter and neighboring dining room.
