Joshua Radin with Raye Zaragoza
City Winery NYCHudson River Park Esplanade, New York 10014
Joshua Radin closes his special tour with the second of two City Winery NYC dates, joined by Raye Zaragoza on the Main Stage. The bill brings Radin’s soulful folk and story-led songs together with Zaragoza’s politically engaged songwriting. Radin’s latest album, One Day Home, explores love, reflection and personal growth through soulful arrangements and piano-driven performances; Zaragoza’s Hold That Spirit addresses self-determination, expectations around women’s lives, and choosing joy.
Radin emerged in 2004 and has since passed one billion streams, sold more than a million albums worldwide, and earned a gold certification for “I’d Rather Be With You.” His songs have appeared in more than 200 films, television shows and commercials, and he has shared stages with Ed Sheeran, Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, Sheryl Crow and Tori Amos. Los Angeles-based Zaragoza is a singer-songwriter of mixed Indigenous, Asian and Latina heritage whose 2016 song “In The River” protested the Dakota Access Pipeline. She has performed an NPR Tiny Desk Concert and writes music for Netflix’s Spirit Rangers, made with an all-Native American writers’ room and cast. Her recent work moves between buoyant indie pop and contemplative folk.
