Shake , Rattle & Roll Dueling Pianos

Shake, Rattle & Roll Dueling Pianos brings a two-piano, all-request show to Chelsea Table + Stage. Two piano entertainers take audience choices as the starting point, mixing music, comedy and direct participation into a sing-along, laugh-along and dance-along set. The songbook can move from Billy Joel and Bon Jovi to Britney Spears and Bruno Mars, with requests also drawing from country, hip-hop, disco, punk, standards and showtunes. The premise is a changing one: the playlist is chosen in the room, so no two performances follow the same course.

Based in New York City, Shake, Rattle & Roll describes itself as “NYC’s longest running all request Rock n Roll party.” Its format is built around two pianists fielding requests rather than a fixed repertoire, with its own material also citing roasts, toasts, shot giveaways and high-energy interaction as part of the show. TheaterMap calls the performers “two of the top entertainers on the East Coast.” Individual players are not named in the supplied information, nor are collaborations with other artists. The act says it has been seen in The New York Times, though no review text or critical assessment is provided.
