Cafuné + Friends Holiday Show
Cafuné
The Sultan Room234 Starr Street, New York 11237
Cafuné bring their Holiday Show to The Sultan Room, with the billed “+ Friends” signaling additional guests alongside the Brooklyn duo.
Cafuné are Brooklyn-based alternative-pop duo Sedona Schat and Noah Yoo, who began recording together as NYU students in the mid-2010s. Their music has been described as a “unique blend of breezy, bittersweet pop”; their 2025 album Bite Reality was written and produced by the pair and includes “Temporary Lover,” featuring Riovaz.
Conceived as the nightclub counterpart to a resurrected 1930s Wisconsin supper club, this 201-capacity venue pairs elaborate retro-futuristic decor with a high-end d&b audiotechnik sound system, functioning seamlessly as both a live performance stage and a late-night dance spot. The room centers around a sunken floor where crowds gather right against the low stage, flanked by small peripheral booths for seated listeners during quieter sets. Shows are ticketed in advance, with programming shifting between live touring bands, global ensembles, and late-night DJ sets that keep the floor active past 2:00 AM. Between sets, patrons can order drinks from the full bar, step up to the rooftop terrace, or grab a late-night bite from the attached Döner Kebab counter and neighboring dining room.
