David Broza – Not Exactly Xmas 31st Anniversary | Live with 12 Musicians & Choir
City Winery NYCHudson River Park Esplanade, New York 10014
David Broza marks the 31st anniversary of his Not Exactly Xmas show with a one-time performance featuring 12 musicians and a choir. The program combines his greatest hits with selections from TEFILA, his project of newly composed music inspired by Shabbat prayers, which premiered at Temple Emanu-El in New York.
Born in Haifa, Broza is an Israeli singer-songwriter whose work brings together Hebrew, Spanish and English songs with flamenco, American folk, rock and poetry. His 1977 song “Yihye Tov” became an Israeli peace anthem, and his career has included collaborations with Paco de Lucía, Wyclef Jean, Jackson Browne, Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle. The New York Times has said, “To see Broza in concert, is to be mesmerized!”
