National Sawdust80 North 6th Street, New York 11249

Francisca Valenzuela brings her solo live show to National Sawdust for an all-ages, standing-room-only evening. The Santiago-born singer-songwriter's Spanish-language set centers on piano-led alt-pop and her own deeply personal songs. Valenzuela writes, composes, performs and directs her own videos, and releases her music independently through her label, FRANTASTIC.

Valenzuela is a four-time Latin Grammy nominee whose latest album, Adentro, was named among the best of 2023 by Variety and Rolling Stone. National Sawdust describes her music as “confessional, raw, and poetic” alt-pop, with songs that turn personal stories toward broader recognition. Her collaborators include Mon Laferte, Miranda!, and Portugal. The Man. Beyond her recordings, she founded Ruidosa Fest, a festival and platform focused on gender equity in the Latin American music industry; it draws 30,000 people annually in Santiago and also presents an annual Lincoln Center event.

National Sawdust offers a unique evening where music and innovation meet in a thoughtfully designed space that once housed a sawdust factory. The main hall, seating up to 185 guests with flexible arrangements, features a cutting-edge Meyer spatial sound system that immerses you in every note. The room’s raw brick walls and crystalline architectural elements create a striking contrast, enhancing the focus on the performance. A full bar is available, inviting you to enjoy a drink while fully engaging with the diverse range of genres presented by both emerging and established artists. Shows are ticketed, and purchasing ahead is recommended to secure your spot in this intimate yet spacious venue. The experience is centered on listening and discovery, making for an evening that feels both special and thoughtfully curated.
