Huntertones with special guest Rachael Price

The Pocket130 West 46th Street, New York 10036

Huntertones bring their full seven-piece lineup to The Pocket, joined by special guest vocalist Rachael Price of Lake Street Dive. The band features Dan White on sax, Jon Lampley on trumpet and sousaphone, Chris Ott on trombone, Joshua Hill on guitar, Adam DeAscentis on bass, John Hubbell on drums, and Nêgah Santos on percussion. The night also arrives in the wake of their 2026 release Transmission.

Huntertones are a flexible horn-led ensemble whose music brings together jazz, funk, pop, soul, hip-hop, and R&B. Their work ranges from full-band projects to horn appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and they have performed with Lawrence, Lake Street Dive, Louis Cato, Kurt Elling, Charlie Hunter, and Cory Wong. The group’s own description of its approach is “horns-of plenty,” with horns that work “in the pocket and outside the box.” With Price stepping in as guest vocalist, this performance connects Huntertones’ rhythm-forward, brass-rich writing with a singer closely associated with Lake Street Dive.

The Pocket offers a close-up encounter with world-class jazz musicians in a small, focused setting where every note feels immediate and unfiltered. The room is designed to bring listeners near the performers, creating a direct connection that makes the music feel personal and vivid. Seating is limited and arranged to emphasize attentive listening rather than casual socializing, with a bar available to complement the experience. Shows are ticketed, encouraging an audience that is there to fully engage with the performance. The venue’s location in Manhattan places it within easy reach of the city’s vibrant cultural pulse, making it a perfect spot for an evening dedicated to serious jazz appreciation without distractions.
