Simona Daniele Quartet LIVE at Roxy Bar

Roxy Bar2 Avenue of the Americas, New York 10013

Simona Daniele brings her quartet to Roxy Bar for a live Italian and Brazilian jazz performance. The Italian-born vocalist is joined by Marius Van Den Brink on piano, Alex Tremblay on bass and Kevin Congleton on drums. The evening centers Daniele’s singing in a quartet setting, with the venue framing her work through Italian and Brazilian jazz.

Born in Calabria and raised near Milan, Daniele is now based in New York City. She describes her music as a blend of “swing, cinematic lyricism, and Mediterranean colors,” and her sets can bring together jazz standards and songs from her homeland. Her credits include the Italian National Jazz Orchestra, with whom she performed at Expo Dubai 2020, as well as appearances at Jazz at Lincoln Center, Blue Note Milano and Rome’s Auditorium Parco della Musica. Pianist Richie Beirach has praised her “unusually mature musical skills” and her “wonderful ability to really hear chord changes and improvise effortlessly”; pianist Ray Gallon calls her work “heartfelt and soulful.”

Roxy Bar offers a stylish setting where live jazz fills the air, accompanied by a menu that caters to diverse tastes including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The room features plush seating and a well-stocked bar, creating a comfortable environment to enjoy performances by resident musicians or special guests.
