A small jazz club on Cahuenga Boulevard, The Baked Potato has been hosting live music since 1970 and is the oldest continuously operating jazz room in Los Angeles. The stage is small, with booths and tables about five feet from the front, so everyone can see and hear the musicians clearly. The atmosphere is warm and familiar, with couples on dates, longtime regulars in Kangol hats, and younger audiences discovering improvisational jazz. The menu features 24 variations of baked potatoes, each with a different topping, and drinks are served alongside the music. Shows are all-ages and start around 8:00 PM, with a second set at 11:30 PM.
