THE TOLEDO SHOW
Harvelle's Santa Monica1432 4th Street, Los Angeles
The Toledo Show brings Toledo Christopher Dimon's soul-cabaret world to Harvelle's: a music-and-burlesque experience built around his smoky, soulful voice, with speak-easy jazz, funky bass lines, horns and dancers alongside the band.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dimon, also known as Toledo Diamond, began in the underground poetry circuit before developing the blend of jazz, funk and spoken word that defines the show. Before his music career, he worked as a choreographer and dancer with artists including Janet Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr., Diana Ross, Al Green and George Michael; his choreography for Us3's “Cantaloup” received an MTV Video Award nomination. The Los Angeles Times called Toledo “The coolest Cat working in Hollywood” and described the show as “sex-soaked and funky.”
Harvelle's Santa Monica is a live music venue with a full bar and food menu, offering a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy a show and a drink. The space is intimate, with a small stage and audience seating that allows close proximity to the performers. Shows typically start around 8 PM and run until 10 PM, with multiple sets and karaoke options available. It's a place where music and conversation flow together, ideal for a casual evening out with friends or family.
