THE TOLEDO SHOW
Harvelle's Santa Monica1432 4th Street, Los Angeles
The Toledo Show brings Toledo’s choreographed soul-cabaret performance to Harvelle’s Santa Monica, with a backing band, singers and dancers. Expect speak-easy jazz, funky bass lines, horns, and Toledo’s smoky, soulful voice in a theatrical, dance-driven set.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Toledo began in the underground poetry circuit before building a long-running local show. His dance and choreography work includes Janet Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr., Diana Ross, Al Green, George Michael and Smokey Robinson; his choreography for Us3’s “Cantaloup” received an MTV Video Award nomination. The Los Angeles Times called him “The coolest Cat working in Hollywood,” while LA Weekly described his sound as “smokey-storyteller/laid-back Cab Calloway/Tom Waits killer R&B with jazzy rock ’n’ roll dance grooves.”
Harvelle's Santa Monica is a live music venue with a full bar and food menu, offering a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy a show and a drink. The space is intimate, with a small stage and audience seating that allows close proximity to the performers. Shows typically start around 8 PM and run until 10 PM, with multiple sets and karaoke options available. It's a place where music and conversation flow together, ideal for a casual evening out with friends or family.
