Yuki Chiba, DRAM
El Rey Theatre5515 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles 90036
Yuki Chiba performs with DRAM. for this Los Angeles date.
Born in Oji, Tokyo, the Japanese rapper and singer formerly known as KOHH broke through with “Team Tomodachi” and collaborated with Megan Thee Stallion on “MAMUSHI.” His work has also included collaborations with Murda Beatz, Feid and Big Sean; Blue Note Hawaii describes lyrics “like a personal diary,” an “inimitable” flow and a style that can “jump across genres.”
El Rey’s distinction is written into its room: a 1936 Art Deco movie palace, still dressed with chandeliers and velvet, now used for live concerts. The theatre became a music venue in 1994, so a night here pairs a preserved historic interior with a working concert hall. Expect general-admission standing on the main floor unless your show’s ticket details say otherwise; some performances offer VIP table seating in the balcony. Doors typically open an hour before showtime, and support acts may be added closer to the date, so check the event listing before heading over. The venue has cashless concessions, and its FAQ points guests to a neighboring restaurant for a bite. It remains an active venue on Wilshire Boulevard in Miracle Mile.
