GIVĒON, Mai Anna
Walt Disney Concert HallSouth Hope Street, Los Angeles 90012
GIVĒON brings LIVE AT THE HALL to Walt Disney Concert Hall for a one-night program of live performance and conversation. The Long Beach singer will share songs and stories that have shaped his musical world, with material connected to his most recent release, BELOVED ACT II. Mai Anna opens the evening. The Queens-born R&B singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is signed to Not So Fast/Epic Records, giving the bill a two-artist shape before GIVĒON’s featured set and onstage discussion.
GIVĒON is a Long Beach R&B singer and an eight-time Grammy nominee, known for a rich baritone and a vintage-inspired approach to R&B. This Hall appearance is framed less as a conventional concert alone than as an opportunity to hear both the songs and the personal stories behind the music that informs him. His current release is BELOVED ACT II, and the program also points listeners toward “JEZEBEL.” Mai Anna’s inclusion brings a Queens-born artist whose work spans singing, songwriting and multi-instrumental performance.
Designed by Frank Gehry, this concert hall is a striking architectural landmark with sweeping stainless steel curves that catch the light outside, while inside, its acoustics are meticulously crafted to deliver rich, clear sound to every seat. The auditorium seats over two thousand people in a space where the audience is fully immersed in the music, surrounded by warm wood paneling and a stage that brings performers close to listeners. The venue hosts ticketed performances by the Los Angeles Philharmonic and other ensembles, offering an evening focused on attentive listening rather than casual socializing. Nearby bars and restaurants in Downtown Los Angeles provide options for pre- or post-show dining, but inside, the experience centers on the music in a refined, elegant setting.
