Who’s Live Today?

Milk & Bone

Moroccan Lounge901 East 1st Street, Los Angeles 90012

Milk & Bone bring their Montreal electropop duo to the Moroccan Lounge for a set built around the partnership of Laurence Lafond-Beaulne and Camille Poliquin. Their songs foreground keyboards and closely woven vocal harmonies, pairing pop melodies with electronic bass and drums. No guest, release celebration, tribute, or other special program is announced for the evening.

Lafond-Beaulne and Poliquin make synth-driven music that their Bandcamp bio describes as melodies “both dreamy and harrowing.” A Vice profile heard “pianos, vocal harmonies, and lurching groans of electronic bass and drums” in their work, while calling the music “spellbinding.” Their emotionally raw, melancholy-tinged songs and compositions have appeared in Riverdale, Tiny Pretty Things, King Dave, and Mafia Inc. The duo collaborated with Chromeo on the EP A Little Lucky, and co-produced Chrysalism with Micah Jasper. Other reviewers have called their work “dreamy” and “haunting,” and praised its “intricate musical textures” and “emotionally-influenced lyrics.”

The Moroccan Lounge offers a live music experience defined by its carefully designed space and exceptional sound quality. With a capacity of up to 250, the venue features a 20-foot stage and a dance floor that invites both standing and seated guests, though seating is limited and without tables. The room is dark and focused, with advanced acoustics ensuring every note and lyric is clear from anywhere in the hall. A lengthy bar and a café-style food window provide refreshments, while a separate lounge area offers a place to relax and mingle. Shows here often spotlight emerging and experimental artists, creating an attentive audience environment. The venue operates until 2 am, making for a full evening of music in a setting that balances energy and listening pleasure.
