Elvin Bishop
Elvin Bishop brings his blues and rock set to The Canyon - Agoura Hills, drawing on a career that moves between Chicago blues, rock, country and zydeco, with his distinctive slide guitar at the center.
Born in California and raised in Oklahoma, Bishop first came to national attention as a founding member and lead guitarist of the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. His solo career includes the 1976 Billboard number-three hit “Fooled Around and Fell in Love,” with Mickey Thomas on lead vocals. Bishop entered the Blues Hall of Fame in 2016.
The Canyon’s appeal is its dinner-and-concert format: you can make a full evening of a show, with table seating paired with dinner service or general-admission access to the concert floor. The calendar ranges from touring performers and tribute acts to themed nights, often with opening acts before the headliner. Expect a ticketed event, and check the listing for your show’s seating and dining arrangements; some events specify a two-drink minimum. Doors commonly open early enough to arrive before the music, though timings vary by event. The venue is at 28912 Roadside Drive in Agoura Hills, in the Conejo Valley, and current official listings continue to advertise shows there. It’s a practical choice if you want dinner and live music under one roof.
