Stanley Simmons
Troubadour9081 Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles 90069
Stanley Simmons brings its debut full-length era to the Troubadour, with PrettyUgly also on the bill. The Los Angeles date falls on the duo's first North American tour, following the August release of their debut album. Stanley Simmons began after Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons tried playing together for an Instagram reel in December 2024, then started writing together two months later.
Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons grew up together on the road with their fathers, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of Kiss. Though they had known each other since infancy, they had not played music together until 2024. Their first demo, made in their respective bedrooms, caught the attention of producer Rob Cavallo, whose credits include Green Day, Fleetwood Mac, Paramore, My Chemical Romance and Dave Matthews. Cavallo went on to produce the duo's debut full-length and manage the band.
The Troubadour’s claim to fame is written into pop history: Elton John made his American debut here in 1970, and the musicians who became the Eagles met around the club. It remains an active West Hollywood live-music venue, with current concerts listed at its Santa Monica Boulevard address. Expect a ticketed show in a compact club room, with a bar and a small kitchen serving burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, and fries. Seating depends on the event; where it is limited, the venue says it is generally first come, first served, so check your show’s details before arriving. Doors typically open an hour before the performance, and most shows finish between 11 p.m. and midnight, though timing varies. The venue sits near Doheny Drive, on a stretch of West Hollywood with nearby bars and restaurants.
