Recall: MoRuf, Devin Tracy, Silas Short

Recall brings MoRuf, Devin Tracy and Silas Short to Gold-Diggers for a three-artist bill. The available details do not establish Recall as a group or a particular shared format, so the night is best understood as a presentation featuring these three individual performers rather than a documented band set.

Tracy is a Los Angeles-based artist whose work has been described by Rated R&B as “avant-garde neo-soul.” The publication notes his work with production team The Vamp (MAAD) and his connection to Soulection, while highlighting music made with J. Robb; it says his vocals have drawn comparisons to Stokely, Tevin Campbell and Raphael Saadiq. Silas Short describes himself as “Milwaukee born, Chicago made and L.A. based.” Stones Throw identifies him as a singer and musician who produces his own work, drawing on soul and classic R&B influences. His album collaborators include James Poyser, Ryan James Carr, Luke Titus and Peanut Butter Wolf. The supplied material offers no comparable biographical or critical detail for MoRuf.
