A Killer’s Confession, featuring former members of Mushroomhead, leads a six-act bill with Dizasterpiece, Sophia Mengrosso, Illusions of Grandeur, Bury My Demons and Dead Things. A Killer’s Confession brings material from Victim 1, a melodic hard-rock record with metal and industrial elements that draws on true-crime stories; its single “Voices” features Arron Nordstrom of Gemini Syndrome.
Illusions of Grandeur presents theatrical hard rock and fantasy metal through its live narrative, The Siren Saga, following the Siren and her warriors. The group has toured the US and parts of Europe and shared stages with Dope, Motograter, September Mourning, New Year’s Day, Puddle of Mudd, Stryper, Stitched Up Heart and Otep. The Metal Depot called its second album, The Siren, “a masterclass in progressive theatrical metal.”
Whisky a Go Go’s claim to fame is written into rock history: The Doors were among the early bands who built an audience there, and the club became a launching ground for generations of performers. Today, it remains an active live-music club on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, with shows listed on its calendar. Expect a close-up, loud rock-club evening: the main floor is mostly standing room, with a few booths at the sides, while an upstairs balcony has limited seating. Bills often feature several acts, so check the listing for your show’s doors and schedule. The venue has bars on both levels and serves food, according to current venue information. Tickets are available through TicketWeb; confirm the event details and availability before heading over.
