Jumpin Joz Band
Edwin Mills by Equator22 Mills Place, Los Angeles 91105
Jumpin Joz Band brings a swing and dance-oriented set led by Rick “Joz” Joswick, a drummer, singer and arranger. Their repertoire moves through swing, jump blues, jazz, early R&B and a little rock ’n’ roll.
The Los Angeles band draws on the sounds of Count Basie, Louis Prima, Benny Goodman, Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Jordan. Joswick’s drumming takes inspiration from Gene Krupa and, as GigRoster puts it, delivers “the beat the dancers want to hear.”
