Whisky a Go Go8901 North Clark Street, Los Angeles 90069

Brokencyde heads a six-act bill with Dot Dot Curve, I Kidnapped The Princess, Krazy White Boy, Asleep At The Trigger and Apocrypha at Whisky a Go Go. The show is open to all ages.

Dot Dot Curve is Spanky’s solo project, originating in Greenwood, Indiana, with a blend of crunk and hip-hop that drew attention from Hot Topic and music publications including AP in 2011. Los Angeles six-piece I Kidnapped The Princess describes itself as a Nintendocore band from Southern California; its music uses 8-bit synths and video-game sounds, and a review of Multidimensional Massacre called the record “a mixed bag.”

Whisky a Go Go’s claim to fame is written into rock history: The Doors were among the early bands who built an audience there, and the club became a launching ground for generations of performers. Today, it remains an active live-music club on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, with shows listed on its calendar. Expect a close-up, loud rock-club evening: the main floor is mostly standing room, with a few booths at the sides, while an upstairs balcony has limited seating. Bills often feature several acts, so check the listing for your show’s doors and schedule. The venue has bars on both levels and serves food, according to current venue information. Tickets are available through TicketWeb; confirm the event details and availability before heading over.
