Kenny Garrett
Blue Note Los Angeles1492 Ivar Avenue, Los Angeles 90028
Kenny Garrett leads the late Blue Note Los Angeles set on November 27. The listing bills the night simply under Garrett’s name and does not name additional performers or a specific project, so the focus is on his appearance rather than a billed tribute, release show, or guest feature. Expect a full club set in the room’s dedicated live-music setting, with seating available on a first-come basis.
Garrett is identified by name in the event listing, but the supplied material provides no biographical background, collaborators, recordings, hometown, or critical commentary. It also does not specify the personnel joining him for this date or describe the particular repertoire planned. What is clear is that this is a Kenny Garrett headline appearance, presented as the later performance of the evening at Blue Note Los Angeles.
A small, dimly lit basement club tucked into a Hollywood corner, Blue Note Los Angeles is a dedicated jazz and live music space with a long-standing reputation for intimate, high-quality performances. The room is modest, with a few rows of seats facing a stage where the music is the focus. It's a place to listen, not to socialize, with the audience often quiet, absorbed in the musicians. Drinks are available, but the atmosphere is centered on the music. Shows are ticketed, with multiple sets each night, and the evening unfolds with a steady rhythm of live music, not casual conversation.
