Michael Culhane — AUTOBIOGRAPH record release,, with special guests Fernando and The Wolf
Kulak's Woodshed5250 Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Los Angeles 91607
Michael Culhane marks the release of AUTOBIOGRAPH with a set joined by special guests Fernando and The Wolf.
A Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, producer and recording artist, Culhane has performed his original songs solo with acoustic guitar and voice. His career has included years of sold-out shows at New York's Mercury Lounge with Circus Guy, which also toured abroad after releasing The Lovely Luna; his band Circle Sky supported Tin Machine at the group's New York concert debut.
Kulak’s Woodshed makes each show part of a live production: volunteer camera operators and sound engineers record the performance and stream it, giving the small room the feel of a working broadcast studio. Founded by Paul Kulak in 1999, it is a 49-seat listening room in North Hollywood, where the audience is asked to keep quiet during songs. There is no bar or alcohol service; self-serve coffee, tea, soft drinks and light snacks are available, and visitors can bring food. Admission is supported by audience donations rather than a fixed cover, so check the calendar for the particular show’s arrangements and timing. Monday open mics share the schedule with showcases on other days. The venue’s listed address remains in North Hollywood, and current listings describe it as operational.
