Susanna Hoffs and her band play the hits

Largo at the Coronet366 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles 90048

Susanna Hoffs comes to Largo at the Coronet with her band for a hits-focused set. The billing does not name the musicians in the group, but it frames the night around the songs that have defined Hoffs’s career, including the work that made her widely known as a member of the Bangles. In Largo’s seated theater, the room’s phone-free, quiet-during-performance policy puts the focus squarely on the music.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Hoffs is the co-founder and frontwoman of the Bangles, a multi-platinum, global chart-topping band behind “Manic Monday,” “Walk Like an Egyptian,” “In Your Room” and “Eternal Flame.” Her work beyond the band includes three covers albums recorded with Matthew Sweet. She has also worked with collaborators including Rufus Wainwright, Dan Wilson and Edie Brickell, while CJ Camerieri has been identified as a producer on her recent work. Reviewing a 2025 solo performance, one writer called Hoffs’s voice “otherworldly” and singled out an acoustic “Hazy Shade of Winter” as “awesome,” while noting pauses and false starts in that particular show.

Largo’s defining feature is a shared, no-distractions performance culture: phones and cameras stay out of the theater, and the audience is expected to keep quiet while artists perform. Mark Flanagan brought the longtime club into the Coronet Theatre in 2008, carrying forward a program where musicians and comedians share the bill. The main room is a historic playhouse with tiered theater seating, so you can settle in facing the stage rather than treating the show as background to drinks. Tickets are for specific performances, and buying ahead is the practical choice; check in well before showtime, since late arrivals are not admitted and tickets may be forfeited if you have not checked in 15 minutes before the start. There is a bar in the Little Room, but no full dining service; plan dinner separately.
