Wazumbians

Wazumbians are a Ghanaian Afro-fusion group led musically by the experienced producer Wazumbi. Their sound combines catchy tunes and ornamented rhythmic grooves rooted in African traditions, shaped by a band of long-serving musicians. A venue description hears an echo of fellow Ghanaian group Osibisa, citing its pioneering role in world music, while characterising Wazumbians’ music as a “spicey mix” with a soulful rhythmic pull.
